The land of the rising sun has a reputation for having some of the most beautiful women in Asia. Japan is known to be that of rich culture as well as a very distinct one, one which can be seen in pretty much every Japanese manifestation. It can be seen in their architecture, their business models and even in the way they celebrate the beauty of their women. Their distinct recognition of their culture is one which must be commended and applauded.

Japanese women are very beautiful. They have creamy pearl-white skin envied by the world over. Miss Japan competition aims to highlight the natural beauty of the Japanese and their distinct charm and grace. It dates back to the 1950s and is the competition which ultimately chooses on who to send the very prestigious Miss Universe pageant where beauties from all around the world compete to be called Miss Universe.

The Miss Japan competition is one which has beginnings in the 1950s, specifically in 1952. It has lasted from then to the year 1997 when the Miss Japan pageant was replaced by the Miss Universe Japan pageant. It is said to be that the Miss Universe Japan pageant is one which has higher success of winnings than the Miss Japan pageant as within its existence from 1998 to 2009; it has impressively produced one semifinalist, two runner-ups and one winner in the ten years of its existence.
